Making services or products that are more ‘affordable’, ‘effective’ and ‘convenient’ is a sure way to create disruption. Most businesses don’t need to disrupt and nor will they be disrupted. They simply need to leverage technology to be able to compete more aggressively in a digital world.
Digital Disruption is often misunderstood as most digital projects, companies and innovations are not disruptive. What they permit is an organisation to compete more aggressively, displace competitors, change how people engage with a business, but that doesn’t make them disruptive.
